Modern Jazz Quartet - Concorde

The first MJQ record with drummer Connie Kay's effervescent touch helped propel the band into being one of the biggest -- and best -- groups in jazz history. But as deft as the rhythm section is, it's the brilliant, peerless Milt Jackson who once again steals the show (check out "Softly, As In A Morning Sunrise"). The thing is - his solo platters are rarely this good!
