My First Flip

Everyone has a first flip, at least metaphorically—a youthful moment when reality is turned on its head in a disorienting rush of emotions. On “My First Love Song,” a breathless pop-rock song that bounds along on a rush of guitar and synths, the disorientation is a desperate desire to confess one’s love.
