Ross Kemp on Gangs (2006)

Ross Kemp returns to Sky One with a second series of Ross Kemp on gangs. They are four one hour programmes, starting this Sunday at 10pm. He travels from San Salvador to Cape Town, St Louis to Moscow, and tracks down the criminals that lay down their law, finds out what makes them tick and what is being done to control them. The first series (in June 05) won a Press Guild award.
- The series was Ross's own idea, he was inspired a few years ago when he was filming a documentary in L.A. on America's love affair with guns. Here he met a man who had been shot and was left with six, nine millimetre holes in his chest. It was after this eye opening experience, that Ross felt more people needed to be made aware of the brutal reality gang crime.
"This was the catalyst that made me approach Sky to commission the series. I have played lots of roles over the years that have glamorised these types of tough gangs but the reality is that itÆs not glamorous at all."
