本剧改编自同名小说，是一个社会派本格推理故事，讲述了刑警平良正太郎（吉冈秀隆 饰）追查1996年发生的一起杀人案件的过程。他在追踪潜逃两年的嫌疑人阿久津的踪迹、并深入调查杀人动机的同时，逐步接近事件背后的“真相”。当原本看似毫无关联的人物与线索，逐渐围绕着“某位嫌疑人”交织在一起时，一个令人意想不到的“社会黑暗面”也随之浮出水面。

When Tetsuya (Yosuke Kubozuka) was 10-years-old he met Emi (Meisa Kuroki), who suffered from a heart disease. In hopes to cure Emi's condition, Tetsuya decided to become a doctor. Following through on his dreams, Tetsuya is now a doctor and is about to marry Emi. One day though, Tetsuya hears about Don (Edison Chen). Tetsuya remembers the times he spent with Emi and Don as a child and also feels insecure about Don.

小洗衣店的门口总坐着一个青年，青年名叫亚照（洼冢洋介 饰），自称是洗衣店的守门员。原来智障青年亚照是替奶奶来看守这家洗衣店。在洗衣店，亚照邂逅了各类顾客，其中有位女顾客引起了亚照的兴趣，那位名叫水绘（小雪 饰）的女顾客总是忘记把衣服拿走，而后便很久没有来过。后来，洗衣店倒闭了，拿着水绘遗留下来的衣服的亚照开始了寻找水绘的征程，在旅途上，他邂逅了左利（内藤刚志 饰），二人迅速成为好友，在左利的帮助下，亚照找到了水绘，也解除了水绘的心头阴影。
互相靠近彼此的二人开始了新生活，但因一次意外，亚照不小心打碎了商场里的昂贵装饰品，而这揭露了水绘盗窃的前科，被关进监狱的水绘最终和亚照何去何从……

女演员吉冈里帆久违3年将单独主演定于9.20日上映、森淳一导演的电影「看不见的目击者」，本片翻拍自2011年上映的韩国电影「盲证」，讲述了主人公在交通事故现场感觉到车内有被绑架的女高中生，为了解决案件而奔走的故事。

故事以现代东京为背景，在也门担任无国界外科医生，目前归国的Wato Tachibana（贯地谷诗穗梨），与任职警队的调查顾问Sara Shelly Futaba（竹内结子），组成搭档，以过人的推理技巧，破解一件又一件的悬案。

Ichiko bakes a cake for an end-of-year party with her friends. In the depths of winter, making mochi and curry keeps the people of Komori warm. Later, spring brings thoughts of her absent mother as well as rice planting and sakura, and she begins to think of leaving Komori behind again.

Fleeing heartbreak in the big city, Ichiko returns to Komori, her rural hometown. She battles summer's rain and humidity, bakes her own bread, grows hothouse tomatoes and tills the fields. During autumn, the time for pickling and preserving fish and sweet potatoes, Ichiko begins reaping rice and recalls her departure five years before.
