“一辈子总会遇着几个人渣”，这句电影台词在网上正红。本期介绍的这部短片也有这个意思。一室三人，因为欲望，而发生了一桩没有杀手的凶案，死因正是情夫发现情妇是“人渣”，注意！是“情夫发现情妇是人渣”。这部由英国摄影师Greg Williams执导的7分钟短片，用插叙的方式来交代了一个错综复杂的故事。随便搜索一下Greg的大名，就能在图片一栏发现很多性感的时尚大片。这位记者出身的摄影师从战地走到电影工业的幕后，更参与了超过120不电影剧照的拍摄，因而在《Tell tale》这部短片里面，Greg能够只用画面色调、演员神态、服饰细节来渲染故事气氛，而不需观众听懂对白。
除了画面的极强渲染力，这部短片的戏剧设置也十分值得玩味。正如开篇所述，故事由命案调查讲起，一对中年妇女被警察盘问。然后两人叙述案发经过：妇女偷人，情夫是一名年轻小伙，情到浓时，却发现衣柜藏着一位大叔，而这名大叔正是妇女的丈夫。情夫一怒之下欲与大叔争执，却滑了一跤，然后……

A dentist teams up with a feisty would-be assassin to put the final touches on the plan to kill his wife. Once he makes a play for the assassin's payment, he unknowingly sets off a chain of events that fuels a cross-town journey through the many lounges, bars, strip clubs and the occasional nudist ping pong club scattered across Los Angeles. Along the way, we are introduced to a series of idiosyncratic characters, from gangsters to exotic dancers, from ex-cons to cops, with the odd hatcheck girl and bartender thrown in for good measure.

A woman (Carla Gugino) and her lover (Simon Baker-Denny), who has made a living by running sex scams at hotels, decide to enter the big time by kidnapping a computer company owner (Greg Wise) and demanding $4 million ransom. The two hire a tech wizard (Gil Bellows) and a muscle man (Til Scweiger), who amuses himself by playing Russian roulette. Things go awry during the kidnapping when a neighbor is killed, who turns out to be the wife of a powerful senator (Hal Holbrook). As things develop, it turns out that the murder may not have been as accidental as it originally appeared. Slowly things unveil to not to be everything that was originally thought.
