曾制作过《老无所依》、《大地惊雷》、《点球成金》、《社交网络》等片的斯科特·鲁丁担任制片人。据悉，环球影业曾在一年接下过该项目，但最终因不明原因退出，目前Veritas和Wild Bunch两家公司有意为该片筹资。

罢工运动及遭暗杀身亡的过程，保罗·格林格拉斯亲自负
责剧本。
格林格拉斯目前有一部由汤姆·汉克斯主演，讲述索马里海盗的新片《菲利普船长》（ Captain Philips）在制作当中，预计明年10月11日上映。
