A safecracker turns double agent during WWII.

Marina and her boyfriend have an argument while on a trip in France. While driving with the car among the cliffs, he starts speeding and the car falls into the sea. Marina can jump out of the car, but her boyfriend seems to be drowned. She gets to know his brother and he falls in love with her. But why does she always feel watched? What reasons are behind her strange behaviour anyway? Did she really murder her boyfriend? But is he dead anyway?

Piccoli and Schneider teamed up for two of Claude Sautet's best films "les choses de la vie" and "Max et les ferrailleurs" and finally Jacques Rouffio's " la passante du sans-souci" which ,sadly,was to be Schneider's last part.
"La voleuse" which is the earliest of their collaborations has fallen into oblivion.Although directed by a French,the action takes place in Germany and ,with the exception of Piccoli,the actors are all German (like Schneider herself) Although based on a melodramatic screenplay,this effort is rather austere filmed in a bleak black and white with a strange use of the wide screen:during the cast and credits ,at the beginning,Schneider mumbles words which the music drowns out and we only understand her last words.We think she is in a shrink's office but she's actually talking with her husband.When she was nineteen ,she gave birth to a child who was taken in by another family.And now she wants her child again,and with the help of the Police,she "steals "(hence the title:= the thief)her boy from his foster parents .The adoptive father is not prepared to accept it and he threatens to commit suicide .
The film is rather undistinguished but it has become poignant when you know Romy Schneider's awful fate:she lost her own child and died two years later.With hindsight,"la voleuse" was a frightening omen.

Romy Schneider plays an aristocratic woman in 1936 Greece, who amuses herself pursuing a shallow loveless affair with a nobleman, but unexpectedly falls in love with a political activist.
On August 4, 1936, General Metaxas declared martial law in Greece. A union leader using the name Boutros is sought in Athens by Primoukis, a ruthless police leader. Boutros narrowly escapes and, early the next morning, jumps through the window of Marchese Margot Santorini, the wealthy Austrian-born wife of Rico, a penniless Italian diplomat and playboy. Margot is bored and without purpose: aiding Boutros's escape invigorates her, and soon she is in love. The film briefly jumps to 1945 when Rico and Raoul (who assisted her out of love) meet in France to talk about her fate, and then jumps 30 years to Margot's daughter's visit to Greece to find out about her father.

In 1964, Henri-Georges Clouzot's production of L'Enfer came to a halt. Despite huge expectations, major studio backing and an unlimited budget, after three weeks the production collapsed. This documentary presents Inferno's incredible expressionistic original rushes, screen tests, and on-location footage, whilst also reconstructing Clouzot's original vision, and shedding light on the ill-fated endeavor through interviews, dramatizations of unfilmed scenes, and Clouzot's own notes.
