狮门公司（Lionsgate）日前准备把荷马史诗《奥德赛》（The Odyssey）搬上银幕，而负责此次改编的就是《饥饿游戏》（The Hunger Games）系列的幕后班底。
其中，执导了《饥饿游戏2、3、4》的弗朗西斯·劳伦斯（Francis Lawrence）将担任这部影片的导演，而编剧则是《饥饿游戏》的彼得·克莱格（Peter Craig）。
《奥德赛》和《伊利亚特》（The Iliad）并称为“荷马史诗”，相传是古希腊诗人荷马（Homer）在公元前8世纪末所创作的。“奥德赛”故事紧接着“特洛伊战争”，讲述了一位希腊城邦国王“奥德修斯”（又叫作“尤利西斯”或“俄底修斯”）在漫长的战争结束后，率领部下乘船回乡，但途中因为波塞冬作梗、遭遇独眼巨人、大漩涡、海怪等重重劫难，最后用了十多年才回到家乡。
狮门版《奥德赛》计划明年初开始制作，《饥饿游戏》系列制作人妮娜·雅各布森（Nina Jacobson）将担任制片人。
