世代を経るごとに深く混ざりあった“個性”が人類史を終焉に導くとする思想≪個性終末論≫を掲げ、“個性”を「病」と称しながら、世界中の“個性”保持者の殲滅を目論む謎の集団・ヒューマライズ。
彼らが世界各国に仕掛けた、“個性”を強制的に暴走させ崩壊に導く爆弾＜個性因子誘発爆弾イディオトリガーボム＞から人々を救うため、全世界のプロヒーローと、その下でインターン中だった雄英高校ヒーロー科が招集され、世界選抜ヒーローチームが結成。各地で爆弾の回収任務にあたっていた。

ジャンルとしては魔法少女アニメに分類されているが、主役の声優を務める小林由美子のために製作されたと言ってもよい、激しいギャグアニメである。OP/ED曲も小林が歌っており、歌詞もお笑い的なもの。作風はふざけているように見えるが、ネタ、パロディ、作画の質の使い分け、テンポなどは厳密に調整されており、視聴者の笑いを取ることに力を入れている。活字にはできないようなセリフもあり、小林は捨て身で本作品に挑んでいる。なお、作品内では（小林由美子が）役作りが下手な為にぽえみが小林を自称している事になっているが当然そんな事は無く、同脚本家が原作を務める漫画版スクライドの5巻で本作と「小林って何だ？」という台詞がネタとして使われた際、「小林って何だ？」は小林由美子が（おそらく本作の台本を見た際に）漏らした言葉である事が語られている。

冬休み。街中の至る場所への落書き事件が連続発生し、デク、爆豪、轟がインターン中のエンデヴァー事務所に応援要請が入る。犯人は、美術家を自称するミスター・スマイリーという男で、彼の“個性”により、警察も逮捕できず手を焼いていたのだ。「そんな軽犯罪は警察で処理しろ！」と一蹴するエンデヴァーだったが、自宅の塀に落書きされたことで態度を一変、検挙に乗り出すが、ミスター・スマイリーは想像以上に手強い相手だった―！

Before Mayama starting working at the Fujiwara Design Office, Miwako becomes upset to see Yamazaki in a fashion magazine. It is explained that Miwako bought a shirt for Yamazaki as a practical joke device. However, the shirt seems to suit him well. Each day, Miwako attempts to give Yamazaki another shirt as a practical joke device, but she again fails to humiliate him, seeing him displayed the same fashion magazine. After Morita returned from America, Mayama plays shogi with Professor Hanamoto. When Takemoto and Hagu arrive, they all converse about Yamada in parties. It is explained that Yamada is the most attractive girl in every party, but she experiences love sickness after becoming drunk. Moreover, Mayama becomes responsible for caring for Yamada after every party. They then talk about Mayama time in the office. It is explained that Yamazaki was invited to a party. Miwako still becomes obsessed in trying to humiliate Yamazaki, only for him to be invited to many parties due to his popularity. Mayama and Professor Hanamoto, not realizing that Takemoto and Hagu both departed, ended up calling it a night, only to see Morita right in front of them.

人間と文明が滅びかかっている遠い未来の地球で、くるみ、サキ、カリンカ、エクセリアの4人の人間の少女が共同生活をしていた。ある日くるみは道人という少年と恋に落ちる。そしてメールのやり取りなどでくるみと道人の付き合いが始まっていく。しかし…。
本作品は、鋼鉄天使くるみの好調を受けて制作されたオリジナルの続編として発売されたOVAであるが、2式と異なり前作との関連は明確には語られていない。また、2式がコメディ一色だったことに対し、本作品はシリアスかつ抑揚に欠けたきらいのある室内劇であった。そして、本作品は、登場キャラクターが鋼鉄天使ではないという点で、他の鋼鉄天使シリーズとは大幅に異なっている。
なお、くるみ達の関係も他の鋼鉄天使シリーズとは異なり、共同生活を営む少女達となっている。このため、姉妹というよりはルームメイトの友人という関係という方が適切で、しかもその友人関係もごく普通のものである。例えば、他の2人はくるみの初恋の相手に普通に興味を持ち、その恋の成就を応援するような間柄である。
本作品は、最終的には無印くるみに繋がっていく話であることが示唆され、原作でも作者が言及している。本作品は他の鋼鉄天使シリーズとはキャラクターの姿と名前こそ同じものの、基本的に全くの別物であるといえる。
無印、2式には登場しないエクセリアは後に原作に鋼鉄天使として登場する。

『ULTRA JUMP』にて連載の人気コミックをOVA化。一風変わった硬派な男・火々雄と、突然現れた紋様族‘タトゥーンズ’の美少女ニマが巻き起こす騒動を描く。
