In the fourth film in this exciting series, and the first since losing his left eye, Yagyu Jubei is charged again with the task of protecting the Yagyu Secret Scrolls. The two scrolls are held in separate locations to assure their safety. Within them there is information other than the techniques of the Yagyu Shin-kage style. They contain a secret that could throw the country into turmoil. Clan founder Yagyu Sekishusai had split the scroll into two parts to prevent its contents from being known to the public. This is Jubei's toughest assignment yet as he puts his life on the line to save the nation!

该剧根据小津安二郎执导、昭和28年(1953年)上映的同名影片改编而成，以从广岛县尾道千里迢迢来到东京看望住在那里的孩子们的一对老夫妇为中心，是一部专门描述家人之间羁绊的不朽名作，而此次舞台则是设定在了《寅次郎的故事》中寅次郎的家乡柴又的邻街、同样是位于葛饰区的金町当中。　此次舞台剧继续由剧团新派出演，曾经在2012年新春舞台剧《麦秋》当中与山田洋次有过合作的水谷八重子、波乃久里子、安井昌二、英太郎、濑户摩纯等人此次将再度出演。

故郷尾道から久しぶりに東京に出てきた老夫婦は、子どもたちの家を訪ねるが、それぞれの生活で精一杯のため歓迎されない。そんななか、戦死した息子の未亡人だけが親身になってくれる…

…戦後日本の変わリゆく家族の関係を描き出した珠玉の名作、小津安二郎の映画「東京物語」。山田洋次の新たな着想を得て、初春の三越劇場に登場します。

今回の舞台化では、東京を訪ねる老夫婦とみ（映画では東山千栄子）を水谷八重子、その夫の周吉（笠智衆）を安井昌二、次男の未亡人紀子（原節子）を瀬戸摩純、飲み屋の女将加代（櫻むつ子）を英太郎、そして長女志げ（杉村春子）を波乃久里子が演じます。日本人を描いてきた劇団新派が総力を挙げてお贈りする舞台『東京物語』。

女孩弓子（中村有沙 饰）来到母亲的故乡，住在了堂兄的京子（成海璃子 饰）家里，但不知为什么居民们被“蛇女”逃避……。

故事發生在美國紐約，小菅耕介(西村雅彥飾演)是日本電影公司派駐紐約的特派員，生性靦腆、善良。通口紀人(石橋貴明飾演)是個自由業者，從事攝影工作，善於交際、誹聞不斷。女主角川上真琴(飯島直子飾演)則個性大而化之，因逃避感情問題而前來紐約，不料又重蹈覆轍愛上有婦之夫，因此鬱鬱寡歡。小菅對住在樓上的真琴有意，想盡辦法找她攀談，製造話題並將自己的電話號碼給了她，然而真琴對於小菅的殷勤只是應付了事。某日通口找上小菅要求他前往舊女友住處拿回自己的行李，小菅擔心真琴會打電話來，極力推託，卻抵不過通口死纏濫打，終於前去，不料此時真琴卻打電話過來… 原來真琴即將出外旅行，希望小菅代為照顧她飼養的貓。然而通口認為種種跡象顯示事情另有蹊蹺，偕同小菅破門而入，竟發現真琴企圖自殺…

In Burma during the closing days of WWII, a Japanese soldier separated from his unit disguises himself as a Buddhist monk to escape imprisonment as a POW.

Kaji is sent to the Japanese army labeled Red and is mistreated by the vets. Along his assignment, Kaji witnesses cruelties in the army and revolts against the abusive treatment against the recruit Obara. He also sees his friend Shinjô Ittôhei defecting to the Russian border, and he ends in the front to fight a lost battle against the Russian tanks division.

Yoshida's first feature follows the lives of young students against a background of jazz, emptiness and boredom. The plot is fairly simple: a "good-for-nothing" from a poor background falls in love with the young secretary of his rich friend's father. The woman senses good in him and tries to lead him on the right path.
