Yeon Woo grew up happy in a loving family. One day, her father had died mysteriously, and her mother remarried a man who was 10 years younger than her. Misfortunes never come singly. Her mother died of Wilson’s disease and her step-father ran away with money. Min Ho, an old friend of hers, is always there to comforther. Min Ho decided to be a policeman to catch a murderer who killed Yeon Woo’s father. Eun Sup came back to Korea with the sole purpose of stopping his lover Soo Ah from getting married, but Soo Ah gave him an outright denial. To make matter wose, his father sent people over to his hotel to catch him. He ran away from the hotel and he accidentally fell into the subway track and became unconscious. Yeon Woo saw the whole scene in the platform and saved his life. Eun Sup asked her if he could stay in her place temporarily since he had no place to go. So Yeon Woo, Min Ho and Eun Sup all started living in a same house.

该片也被媒体称作是韩国版的《的士速递》(吉拉尔·皮雷 1998年作品)，讲述了平日用摩托车送外卖的送货员误打误撞配送了一枚炸弹，并由此引出了一系列惊险又搞笑的故事。

该片以日本殖民统治时期为背景，由朝鲜自行车英雄严福童的真实事件改编，讲述了满腔爱国热血的自行车店店员严福童十几年来坚持参加各大赛事，抚慰当时殖民统治下人们饱受创伤的心灵，最终成就一代英雄的爱国励志故事。
《严福童》是描写活跃在日据时代的自行车英雄的真 实故事的电影。作为自行车店店员的严福童参加了1913年全朝鲜自行车大赛获得冠军以来，持续十几年活跃在许多赛事，成为自行车英雄，抚慰了殖民地人民的心灵。

On the day she matriculates in college, Lee-hwa (Jang Mi-hee) meets Yo-sub, a rich man's son who has been sending her anonymous love letters. She accompanies him to his father's vacation house in Cheongpyeong. When Yo-sub tries to take her into his arms, Lee-hwa rejects him and leaves the house. Despondent at being turned down by Lee-hwa, Yo-sub commits suicide, and Lee-hwa resolves never to reject a man who needs her. She falls in love with Wu Suk-gi (Kim Chu-ryeon), a college newspaper reporter involved in student activism. Her meeting with Suk-gi opens her eyes to social consciousness. But with only a week to go before the end of his military service, Suk-gi dies in a car accident. Several years later, Lee-hwa runs into her high school teacher Heo Min (Shin Seong-il).
