同作は、“佐藤”の姓を持つ対照的な2人が付き合い、結婚し、夫婦の形を見出していく物語。弁護士を夢見るタモツは司法試験を受けるが不合格が続いており、彼を応援するために一緒に勉強を始めたサチのほうが試験に受かってしまう。そしてサチの妊娠が発覚したことから2人は結婚するが、産後すぐに弁護士として働き出し忙しい毎日を過ごすサチに対し、タモツは塾講師のアルバイトをしながら家で息子の世話をすることに。サチが息子の支度を忘れたり、家でだらしない姿を見せることにタモツはイライラを募らせていく。
