Washington’s February 2019 headlining performance at New York City’s historic Apollo Theater served as the focus of the Michael Garber-directed film. The movie intersperses interviews and behind-the-scenes clips with footage from the Apollo stage of Washington playing saxophone alongside his band, The Next Step and special guests DJ Battlecat and vocalist Dwight Trible.

The movie intersperses interviews and behind-the-scenes clips with footage from the Apollo stage of Washington playing saxophone alongside his band, The Next Step and special guests DJ Battlecat and vocalist Dwight Trible.

The film follows the band Slowdive as they come up in the flourishing Thames Valley shoegaze scene and chronicles the making of their classic album Souvlaki. It features interviews with all of the band members as well as Creation Records' Alan McGee, producer Chris Hufford, and engineer Ed Buller.
