Written by the director himself, the story revolves around an “absent” hero: an astronaut lost in the emptiness of space. His absence is spoken about indirectly here, from planet Earth. He was the nation’s son, loved and admired by all. But he’s primarily always on the mind of his little sister Elsa, who’s the real “fully present” heroine in this story. Elsa has lived her life and her childhood by proxy, sustaining herself off the dreams and ambitions of her older brother and hero. He was her point of reference and her daily inspiration. While he floats around, somewhere up there, in the ether, Elsa also drifts, right here on Earth…

现代化都市的早晨，某条马路边上，一名工人正手持钻地设备作业，隆隆轰鸣声打破了清晨的宁静。对面写字楼内，一名白领有些厌烦地关上窗户。楼下的便道一侧，一名男子行色匆匆，当他路过钻地工人身后时，被一块因作业而震动翘起的地砖绊倒。工人丝毫不搭理身后发生的一切，摔倒的男人也自认倒霉，爬起来继续赶路。这一幕偶然被刚刚那名白领看到，他饶有兴致地停在窗前，并叫来同事一同观看。接下来的时间内，许多经过这里的男男女女不慎摔倒，其中甚至还有一只觅食的小鸟被压在地砖下面。而写字楼正对马路的窗前，几乎站满了人。
他们并非幸灾乐祸，对于摔倒的人也会报以同情，可是这一切总似欠缺了什么……

深冬时节，荒野之中，面色苍白的少年牵着小鸭子玩具来到池塘附近。他先是向水中丢了些食物喂水鸟，这时一只野鸭走近了他。鸭子想吃男孩脚边的食物，但男孩不断逼近，反吓跑了野鸭。不远处，父亲背着枪走入旷野。夜幕降临，母亲拿着新衣服在男孩身上比划来比划去，这是专属于他的新的猎人马甲。次日一早，父亲穿戴整齐，早早等在门外，而男孩则在母亲的陪伴下走出房门。父子俩携手走入旷野，他们小心翼翼掩藏，吹响吸引鸭子的哨子吸引猎物。
满载而归的途中，少年看到了一只奇怪的鸟……

Blackbone Tale is realized by Jeremy Clapin in collaboration with Spirit Productions, with the support of Centre de la Premiere Oeuvre (GOBELINS). It's a high result of mixing 2d and 3d: the characters are made in 3d cellshading and the remains in 2d.
This silent mute is pure poetry.
A man alone, with his peculiar physique: he has his head held low, looking down at the ground.
Clapin needs only few minutes to show you the emotional state of this man: his loneliness and his quest for a human being like him. A profound analysis of alienation and frustation of people: man needs to live with other men.
