本片是法国MOPA学院学生的联合毕设作品，短片通过缓慢的动作、弥漫的大雾来创造景深感，注重人物及物体的细节考量。审美工作令人印象深刻，照明，渲染效果及后期合成的努力也值得注意。
观众开始会紧张于怪兽身上人类的命运，直到怪兽轰然坍塌，人类奔向下一个怪物，我们才对本片隐晦的寓意了然，原来，人类与怪兽身上的虫子一样，都是寄生，当我们耗尽了怪兽象征着的环境资源，便转移到下一处寄居，与片头字幕“一个征程结束，一个征程又将开始”形成讽刺般的呼吁。
本片现已入围多个大小国际电影节，其中最著名是2015洛杉矶SIGGRAPH电影节，与2014德国Animago电影节。
