Set in 1820, a Texan fur trapper journeys into the mysterious Buckskin woods in the hopes of saving a lost boy. Once there, Wesley Porter must confront the demons of his past and navigate the savage Native's traps in order to bring himself and the young man home alive.

A drifter with a mysterious past arrives in a small town and finds the residents in the grip of a ruthless crime boss and realizes he has to help them.

My Foolish Heart is an Academy Award-nominated 1949 film which tells the story of a woman's reflections on the bad turns her life has taken. It was directed by Mark Robson and stars Dana Andrews and Susan Hayward. Adapted from J. D. Salinger's 1948 short story "Uncle Wiggily in Connecticut," it remains the only authorized film adaptation of Salinger's work; the filmmakers' infidelity to his story famously precluded any possibility of film versions of other Salinger works, including The Catcher in the Rye.

In San Francisco, two police inspectors are on the case when a rogue taxi driver, with the help of a rogue porter, manages to st eal the suitcase of an antiques collector before running down a cop, whose dying gesture is to shoot the cabbie dead. The inspectors discover that a statuette in the suitcase contains heroin. Meanwhile, a psychopathic gangster, his malignant mentor and their dipsomaniac driver have the job of picking up the other heroin shipments, hidden in the luggage of unsuspecting travelers. All goes well until they attempt to retrieve the heroin stuffed in a Japanese doll. A little girl and her lovely young mother have the doll, but when the crooks take possession of it, they find that the heroin has mysteriously vanished.

When a kindly priest is murdered while waiting at a street corner in a quiet Connecticut town, the citizens are horrified and demand action from the police. All of the witnesses identify John Waldron, a nervous out-of-towner, as the killer. District Attorney Henry Harvey is then put on the case and faces political opposition in his attempt to prove Waldron's innocence.
