这段争取女权与女性地位的过程，是全片中表现最出色的地方。看完本片很容易使人联想到由薛尼波勒导演的《远离非洲》，两部片子同是根据女作家的经典名着改编。在拍摄方面，该片的大自然景观相当可取，带有一点美国西部片的味道，摄影配乐皆有水准，若能在节凑处理上爽快和精炼一点，当会让观众感到更加满意。
