NHK特别邀请了大友克洋担任节目总设计监修，节目主题音乐也将由制作了动画电影《AKIRA》音乐的艺能山城组组长兼作曲家山城祥二担任制作。另外，节目标题文字也将由创作了“AKIRA”标题的戏剧家平田弘史创作，节目组将为观众原样再现“AKIRA”的世界观。
