Un matin de novembre 1975, une jeune femme, Ana, rentre chez elle, les joues en feu d’avoir dansé toute la nuit. Étrangement, son mari, Yves, qui l’attendait avec inquiétude, lui demande pardon et quitte la maison. Une petite fille assiste à la séparation depuis l’obscurité du couloir… Au printemps 1991, Cécile, la petite fille du couloir, a maintenant 25 ans ; elle est étudiante dans une école de cinéma et doit réaliser un exercice sur le thème : Filmer vos parents. Cécile les filme séparément et les questionne sur ce qui pour elle est de l’ordre de la légende : leur rencontre. Dans les souvenirs d’Ana et de Yves rien ne coïncide, et pourtant tout coïncide. Évoquer ces instants les remet en contact avec la force du sentiment.

After fifteen years of absence, a man returns to his family. Five-year-old Aurelie watches the stranger arrive and develops an immediate affinity with him. Her older sister, however, is very suspicious of the intruder and certain that misfortune will follow. The adults see nothing, but struggle with all their might when tragedy strikes. Naturally, the two girls bear the brunt of the impact. The film is an homage to the distant and primitive world of childhood, which shapes each of us.
