今夏华纳暑期档大片《终结者4》（Terminator Salvation）导演McG目前正在洽谈把百老汇获奖音乐剧《春之觉醒》（Spring Awakening）搬上大银幕，他本人将担任导演和制片人，原剧的编剧和词作者Steven Sater将继续担任编剧兼作词。
McG与音乐缘份不浅，最初他就是以音乐人的身份出道的，曾制作过Sugar Ray的首张专辑，并与之合写了第二张专辑里的歌曲。之后他又当了MV导演，再后来就成为电影导演。如今的他还同时负责监制《橘镇风云》（The O.C.）、《超市特工》（Chuck）、《舞台灯光》（Limelight）等多套剧集，堪称全面开花的多面手。
