《摩登原始人》又或者翻译成《石头族乐园》一共有六季，主要说的是有着现代观念的原始人“火石”弗兰德和他最好的朋友巴尼的故事。本片最吸引人的地方是：一个原始社会里有很多现代化的工具，只不过它们都是石头做的。
值得注意的是，就在今天《摩登原始人》计划曝光一天前，华纳兄弟宣布有两部华纳动画制作的电影分别于2017年2月10日和2018年2月9日上映，现在看来这两个日期很有可能有一个就是动画电影《摩登原始人》的上映日期。
