故事讲述天网派出T-1000再次回到过去杀死18岁的约翰，就在危急时刻T-800及时赶到，带着约翰穿过时光隧道来到了未来，同时T-1000也追了回来。T-800巧妙的甩掉了T-1000，一路保护约翰到达了天网的内部，最后T-800牺牲自己炸掉了天网的总CPU，并把约翰送回到了过去最终和母亲相见。
买过T2UE的人都应该看过花絮碟里面有一段T2-3D的制作特辑，这段花絮是非常珍贵的。1995年詹姆斯卡梅隆招回了T2所有主演开始了终结者立体电影的拍摄。此片96年上映，至今为止全世界上只有3个以内的影院能完整演义这个电影。IMDB：7.5分，虽然不算高，但它是每个终结者迷都梦想看到的电影。但这部影片却从未以任何介质对外发行过。
