凶手找到了，但特尔并没有向大家宣布。她认为这不是克鲁夫人的错。但当克鲁夫人向邻居们道出实情后，邻居们都对克鲁夫人深表同情，只有看门人情绪激动。

特尔回忆整件事情，忽然发现了重重破绽。她独自跑到威斯汀的公司，并揭穿了威斯汀的谎言。事实上威斯汀并没有死，他通过易容术把自己变成看门人、地产商以及自己的代理人。威斯汀只想知道当面对这笔巨额遗产时人们的反应。

最终威斯汀把遗产继承权授予了特尔，他为特尔的善良和勇敢而喝彩。至此威斯汀的游戏结束了，人们开始了新的生活。
