Young anti-colonial idealist Wulff leaves for Danish Guinea to set up a coffee plantation but not everything goes according to plan.

Childhood friends Sigurd and Nikolaj have created 'Delphi', an ingenious app that helps people structuring their everyday life. The app is a soaring success, but Sigurd is questioning his own creation: Are people entrusting too many of their decisions to the app? Nikolaj struggles to keep both friendship and enterprise afloat, as Sigurd's growing doubts threaten both.

When the brilliant but sexually inexperienced computer science student PIET is turned down by bright and beautiful KLARA, he is deeply hurt. He takes a dose of a sleep medication, leading to a tumultuous night during which he loses his innocence in more ways than one.

The film is a comedy drama about a young woman, Laura, who has distanced herself from her family in the country to settle in Copenhagen as an author and live the artistic bohemian life she has always dreamed of. When she, with much reluctance, goes back home for her brother’s wedding, she realises that he is about to marry her childhood enemy, Catrine. At the same time, Laura finds out that Catrine has in fact taken over her place in the family – and what if Laura wants it back … A film about how we, no matter how hard we try, cannot escape from our past, nor from our roots.

Michael, a Danish gangster, takes his girlfriend, Sascha, and his extended criminal family on a luxury vacation in a fancy villa in gorgeous Bodrum, Turkey. Shopping, waterparks, barbecuing, and hardcore partying fill their days and nights. Having little regard for anything or anybody outside their world, they exist in a bubble of excess that is governed by Michael’s rules—and if the code is broken, they all know that violence will follow. But when Sascha befriends a Dutchman with romantic designs on her, she toys with Michael’s authority and creates a situation that cannot end well.
In a breakthrough performance, Victoria Carmen Sonne fully commits as Sascha, the complex young moll that eludes assumptions and expectations. First-time writer/director Isabella Eklöf has a dynamic visual touch and a flair for dark comedy and creates a destabilizing discord as she elaborately fills the frame with colorful, seductive images while telling a disturbing, graphic tale of brutality and power. Holiday provokes, challenges—and even implicates—the viewer in its unsettling reflection of our times.
