One sunny day invaders came from space. They weren't little green men or funny girls wearing school uniforms, though. They were ugly robots which defeated the UN forces in seconds. It is his destiny and his sole decision to decide the fate of the world, no matter if he wants the role or not. Now it is a matter of if he will join the side of the Seven Seals and become the Dragon of Heaven to save mankind or join the Seven Angels and become the Dragon of Earth to destroy all civilization so the earth can heal itself from man's destruction.

Sakura Kinomoto, an elementary school student who discovers that she possesses magical powers after accidentally freeing a set of magical cards from the book they had been sealed in for years. She is then tasked with retrieving those cards in order to avoid an unknown catastrophe from befalling the world.

The beautiful and successful supermodel Jun Fudou meets a woman named Lan Asuka, who confronts her with a werewolf monster, which she calls a devil beast. As a result, unimagined powers awaken in Jun, and she manages to defeat the monster. She, just like this werewolf, is part of the next step in human evolution: humans who can mutate into beast-like monsters and then mercilessly terrorise civilisation. Unlike the other devil beasts, however, she can retain her humanity, which is her undoing because Lan Asuka is a high-ranking employee of the government and of the “Anti-Beast Special Squad”, which wants to abuse her powers and train her to mercilessly hunt down her own species.

Caught between these extremes and her weak self, the question arises: what fate will Jun meet? Will she ever be able to decide it for herself?

A highly experimental film presenting a story out of chronological order taking place 15 years after a near-apocalyptic catastrophe, about four traumatized 14 year olds who are tasked with piloting massive humanoid decisive weapons called Evangelion, the psychologically maladjusted adults who handle and command them, and the events and forces that affect them or which they take part in as they engage massive hostile invaders known as "Angels."

于是麻由华便在天地家住下了.慢慢的,她和沙沙美成了好朋友,并逐渐溶入了这个家.但是,由厨菜使用魔力,控制麻由华,要将天地带到黑暗世界.第一次,被魉呼中途阻止了,于是魉呼叫天地小心,并和麻由华大打出手,后来被天地制止.麻由华自己也不知道发生了什么事,沙沙美安慰她,并答应和她一起过圣诞节.
后来,由厨菜见劫不走天地,便绑架了沙沙美,要天地去黑暗世界救她.天地和魉呼只好去黑暗世界,在那里和由厨菜展开激战,麻由华被洗去记忆,要杀死天地.在黑暗世界,光是传不进去的,天地无法使用光鹰剑,就在麻由华要杀死天地的一刹那,沙沙美的叫唤,使麻由华苏醒过来,和由厨菜打了起来,由厨菜恼羞成怒,将麻由华消灭了,麻由华变成了一颗红宝石.这时,由于阿重霞的祈祷,光终于传到了黑暗世界,天地使出光鹰剑,将由厨菜打倒,由厨菜在消失前,交给天地一个盒子,是给天地爷爷的礼物.天地回去后,交给爷爷,爷爷若有所思.

人気作家、岡崎武士原作の本格ファンタジーをＯＶ化。監督は「神秘の世界エルハザード」などを手がけた秋山勝仁。精霊使いはそれぞれの役目にしたがって「精剣戦争」を戦わねばならない。主人公、覚羅は目の前で真美を奪われたことにより、最強の精霊“エーテル”の使い手に目覚めた。そして、水の精霊の使い手である支葵と共に壮絶な戦いに赴くことになる…。

富野由悠季初次执导的OVA作品，同时也是根据富野原作的小说改编。剧情还是主角来到异世界被卷入战争这类。虽然属于圣战士系列，与《圣战士登拜因》有着相同的世界观，但本片却完全没有奥拉机械。主角虽同样被称为圣战士，但也只有拿把剑去和敌人砍。主角可以利用的就是一些现代知识和有时出现能让他飞翔的加什之翼。

この作品の中核となるアイディアはサイコダイブである。これは、人の精神に潜り込み（ダイブし）、対象の持つ記憶情報を入手すること、対象の隠されたトラウマを発見すること、そこから派生して精神操作まで行うことが可能という技術である。「テレパシーのような超能力ではなく、素質と専門知識をもった人間が専用の機器を用いて行う科学技術である」という前提と、それなしでサイコダイブを行う天才（あるいは異才）を主人公と規定しているところが作品の特徴となっている。
ただし、夢枕獏の作品にサイコダイバーという職業が登場するのは、『魔獣狩り（淫楽編）』が最初ではない。連載開始（『月刊小説』昭和58年（1983年）2月号「女体暗黒祭」）のほぼ2年半前、『奇想天外』昭和55年（1980年）10月号に掲載された短編「てめえら、そこをどきやがれ」に膛馬明（とうま あきら）というサイコダイバーが登場している。
また、1978年に第9回星雲賞（日本短編部門）を受賞した小松左京の短編SF小説『ゴルディアスの結び目』には、サイコダイバーと同じく、コンバーターと呼ばれる機械を用いて被験者の精神に浸透（インベスティゲイション）するサイコ・デテクティブないしサイコ・エクスプローラーという職業が登場している。なお「サイコ・デテクティブ」を自称する主人公が自らの仕事を水槽の汚れを掃除する「潜水夫」みたいなものと説明しているので、夢枕獏の「サイコダイバー」という用語の発想の元である可能性も大きい（「コンバーター」が小松作品起源であることは作者自ら述べている）。
