Our Girl is the story of Molly Dawes' experience as a young medic in the British Army.

Written by Tony Grounds and made by BBC Drama Production for BBC One, Our Girl will return to our screens with Two Section on an African mission, with a new female medic at their centre. Michelle Keegan will play Corporal Georgie Lane, a brilliant and committed soldier who loves the adrenaline and adventure of her job.
Georgie will have to earn the love and trust of her fellow soldiers, and the greater respect of her commanding officer, while working alongside aid workers in the biggest refugee camp in the world. Kenya is a complicated and volatile posting - one which Georgie will find full of surprises that will challenge her professionally in unexpected ways, and which will change her personal life forever.

Following the final episode of series two, the BBC subsequently announced that the series had been commissioned for a third run. Michelle Keegan, Luke Pasqualino and Ben Aldridge were later confirmed to be returning to the cast, with newcomer Shalom Brune-Franklin and Rudi Dharmalingam being amongst the new cast members for this series. Unlike previous series, a total of twelve episodes were commissioned; to be shown in three blocks of four episodes, each covering a different "mission". Filming for this series took place in Nepal, South Africa and Malaysia. The first episode of Our Girl: Nepal is due to be broadcast on October 10, 2017.
