尾田荣一郎亲自宣布Netflix续订漫改真人剧《海贼王》第二季，并在官宣视频中明示乔巴会在第二季中登场。
执行制片人、制片工作室Tomorrow Studios的Becky Clements透露，一旦美国编剧、演员工会罢工结束，第二季或许在12个月到18个月后就能准备好上线。本剧可能至少持续6季，各方已就潜在的第二季做了深入探讨，对第三到第六季的方向进行了没那么深入的探讨。

第一幕
("Overture")
一對母女瑪格麗特和卡拉來到意大利翡冷翠，("Statues and Stories")在一次機緣下卡拉遇上了意大利男子法比斯奧，並一見鍾情。("The Beauty Is")可是瑪格麗特卻千方百計阻隢二人。法比斯奧決意要追求卡拉，("Il Mondo Era Vuoto")他要其兄弟喬斯彼和其父幫忙。("American Dancing")在法比斯奧的父親的幫助下，瑪格麗特總算軟化了。("Passeggiata")不久法比斯奧邀二人到家中一眾，喬斯彼之妻法蘭卡要卡拉小心男人，("The Joy You Feel")而瑪格麗特看出法比斯奧的確愛著卡拉，這加深了她的憂慮。
迷惘的瑪格麗特打長途電話給其夫萊爾，可是萊爾對此事不置可否，並認為沒她所想那麼嚴重，可瑪格麗特就是放心不下。("Dividing Day")她突然發覺卡拉背著她去了幽會，焦急得如熱窩上的螞蟻。卡拉被迷失在翡冷翠的街中，突然變得歇斯底里，大聲尖叫起來。("Hysteria")還好瑪格麗特找到了她，並把她帶回酒店。原來卡拉小時受過驚嚇，雖然身體已經20多歲，可實際上只有10歲左右的智商。在瑪格麗特去找東西喝的同時法比斯奧來求婚，("Say it Somehow")瑪格麗特回來時驚恐地發現二人在擁吻。
第二幕
瑪格麗特決定要盡快把卡拉帶回美國，法比斯奧為失戀而痛呼。("Aiutami")可是卡拉卻一定要回去翡冷翠，並堅持不去美國。瑪格麗特無奈，二人遂回酒店。("The Light in the Piazza")眾人都為年下的少年男女和自己的婚姻各有各看法，("Octet")法蘭卡為讓其夫妒忌親吻法比斯奧被卡拉撞見，結果又變成一個亂子。在綵排上，法比斯奧之父突然帶家人離開，這讓卡拉感迷惑，而瑪格麗特則一再決意保護她。("The Beauty Is (Reprise)")
原來法比斯奧之父發覺卡拉的年齡是26歲，和其子20歲的法比斯奧有點不適合。瑪格麗特欣喜他沒發現卡拉的毛病，並成功說服了他繼續婚禮。("Let's Walk")瑪格麗特向萊爾報告，萊爾不同意讓卡拉結婚，瑪格麗特跟他爭辯，這一切卻被卡拉聽到了。她再一次流浪在翡冷翠街頭，("Clara's Interlude")並告訴法比斯奧她不嫁了。終於法比斯奧獲悉所有真相，並再次重申他對卡拉的愛。("Love to Me")在婚禮前卡拉向瑪格麗特說她離不開她，然而瑪格麗特卻說沒問題的。內心再次掙扎的瑪格麗特("Fable")終於加入了二人的婚禮。
