虾人父子逃离地球后回到自己的母星，发现母星并没有完全被毁灭，并且虾人之前的将领和一些部下在母星毁灭中竟然依靠“流体洞”幸存了下来，并重新组建恢复了部分虾人的文明。虾人回到母星后被他的将领接待，逃回来的虾人是虾人母星的统领者，于是虾人在母星准备完毕后决定再次回到地球拯救在地球避难的其他虾人还有曾经在地球对男主角许下三年后回来的承诺。
于是虾人启动了母星全部的救援战舰再次返回地球，并停留在第十区上空，开始救援第十区的所有虾人。联合国担心一旦虾人被救走后虾人可能会给地球致命的报复打击，毕竟虾人在地球受到过及其残忍的对待，于是派出谈判员前去和虾人谈判。但是却和武装虾人发生冲突，最后谈判和保护人员全部遇难。联合国立即发布了全面作战命令，出动了各国全部的兵力，准备进行人类有史以来最大的一场生死较量。
在各种武器都对虾人战舰攻击无效的情况下，虾人却迟迟没有任何反击，就在联合国进行最后一次进攻的时候，虾人控制了卫星并要求和联合国对话，当得知男主角已经失踪了无法兑换之前许下的承诺后，虾人准备对地球进行一次惩戒，释放 "星体武器"，让人类回到史前文明。
此时被混入救到虾人战舰的男主角通过机械体与虾人统领对话，放弃曾经对虾人想要的承诺，并愿意用自己的生命对虾人统领交换另一个承诺，“请不要攻击地球，我的家人还在。”便从虾人战舰上跳下。虾人统领默许了男主角的承诺，收回了“星体武器”并将男主角的尸体带到救援战舰医疗室，分析男主角大脑并没有完全损坏，于是将男主角的大脑所有信息转移到另一个和男主角之前一模一样的躯体里。
其实虾人在返回母星的途中就利用男主角在指挥仓里留下的头发中提取了DNA，并造出了一模一样的男主角躯体。等转换完毕后男主角被送下地面，和亲人相见拥抱在了一起。
