安·兰德的《源泉》讲述了天才建筑师霍德华·洛克单枪匹马辩护自己的创造产权的故事。1949年，该著作曾被改编成电影，由加里·库柏和帕德里夏·妮尔主演，安·兰德本人亲自负责写了该片的剧本。但即便如此，影片并没有得到很好的效果。最近几年，兰德的另一著作《阿特拉斯耸耸肩》被改编为三部曲，但口碑和票房方面都没有得到很好的反响。
至于这部将再次搬上大银幕的《源泉》，导演扎克·施奈德是否会沿用安·兰德的剧本还是另写剧本，他又是否会将自己独特的电影美学融入到这样一部文学著作里，都是接下来值得我们所期待的。
