Enomoto Kei is a security "otaku" working for a security firm, devoted to improving the securities system on a daily basis. 旭山动物园是日本最有名的动物园。2007年，为了让人类和动物更亲密地接触，管理员们想了许多的办法。
阪内禅（山口智充饰）在成功策划了企鹅展后，打算再推出黑猩猩主题馆。由于许多人来动物园都是怀着“进游乐园看动物表演”的心理，如何不打扰动物的生活习性又让人感到有趣是阪内一直思考着的。
佐和子（戸田恵梨香饰）到学校里开展动物校外教学时才发现，孩子们对动物生命的认识很匮乏，“兔子长得都是一样的，死了可以复活吧？”“要山羊有什么用？”这样的问题让佐和子无所适从。
志织（广末凉子饰）一度以为自己是名合格的兽医，但来到这里之后，才发现自己的很多观念还太不成熟，要学习的还有很多……
