雖然 Marvel Studios 尚未宣布推出《Thor 5》，但 Taika Waititi 率先針對社群媒體上的傳聞進行回覆：「我不確定這個傳言是否正確，但我知道我不會參與其中，我會專注在我目前已經簽約的電影項目上。」
Taika Waititi 表示自己很喜歡與 Marvel 和 Chris Hemsworth 工作，與 Marvel 就如同情侶間的開放式關係：「我永遠不會覺得他們背叛我，若他們想與其他人約會，我也會很開心，總有一天我仍然會和他們一起回到床上共眠。」隨後並表示《Thor》第四集與第五集相隔六、七年，他認為下一集會在更短的時內間登場，讀者們不妨敬請期待。
