歴代42人目となる新ヒーロー「ウルトラマンオーブ」は、今年放送開始50年を迎える「ウルトラマン」、同じく20年を迎える「ウルトラマンティガ」をはじめ、「ウルトラマンタロウ」や「ウルトラマンゼロ」など、歴代ウルトラ戦士のパワーをかりることで、特性の異なる様々な姿にタイプチェンジし、次々に現れる怪獣たちと戦います。
ウルトラマンオーブとなって戦う風来坊の青年・クレナイ ガイを演じるのは、ドラマ・映画・バラエティなどで活躍中の石黒 英雄さん。メイン監督は、昨年好評を博したTVシリーズ『ウルトラマンＸ』に引き続き、田口 清隆氏が担当。さらに大きなスケールで描かれる『ウルトラマンオーブ』にどうぞご期待ください。

Ultraman and his comrades from M-78 (including a new Ultraman, Zero, the son of Ultra Seven) join forces with other allies to fight a massive army of giant monsters led by the evil Ultraman Belial.

Ultraman Saga opens with a powerful apocalyptic vision of Tokyo, buildings destroyed and the city seemingly devoid of life. We are soon introduced to the Earth Defense Force (EDF), Team U (played by members of the female idol group AKB48). They and a group of young children and the last survivors on planet Earth after the world was invaded by the evil Alien Bat, the rest of the human population having been abducted.
