이랑은 2006년 아마츄어증폭기의 금자탑을 커버하는 것으로 음악을 시작했다. 얼마 지나지 않아 스스로 노래를 만들고 녹음하였고, 그 노래들이 입소문을 타고 음반까지 발매하게 되었다. 그녀의 첫 정규 음반 ‘욘욘슨’에서 이랑은 자기가 아는 것에 대해서만 노래하고 있다.
단순하고 밝은 멜로디와 그에 반하는 무거운 성장기 느낌의 가사들로 이루어져 있는 그녀의 음악에 대해 '진지하고 슬픈 것을 포장하는 것, 결국은 유머'라고 스스로 설명한다. 현재는 일랑(유혜미, 실로폰 및 코러스), 삼랑(조인철, 드럼)과 함께 밴드 포맷으로 공연을 하며 활동을 하고 있다. 이랑은 본명이다.
