2014年初从央视辞职的记者柴静，在2015年2月28日，推出了她自费拍摄的雾霾深度调查《穹顶之下》，这也是柴静辞职后首度公开亮相。纪录片中，柴静披露了自己离开央视的原因，她称在自己怀孕期间，女儿被诊断有良性肿瘤，出生后便要接受手术，而她自己辞职后用了一段时间专程陪伴照顾女儿。 在照顾孩子的过程中，柴静对雾霾的感受却越来越强烈，“生活在一年竟有175天污染的北京，害怕女儿有一天会问我‘什么是蓝天’‘为什么老把我关在家里’，加上全社会对空气污染问题也越来越关心，职业训练和母亲本能都让她觉得应该回答这些问题：雾霾是什么？从哪儿来？该怎么办？”因此，柴静开始了这个调查。

这天，幼儿园老师“结婚狂”（刘若英 饰）终于如愿以偿踏上了婚礼的红地毯，岂料在这关键时刻，新郎大宝竟然负债潜逃了！大宝的离开，不仅使“结婚狂”的结婚梦想化为泡影、没脸回家见父母，而且他还提走了正在举行的“婚纱时尚展”的所有赞助，这使得负责这个计划的策划人“男人婆”（张延 饰）成了众矢之的，背上了巨额债务，好友“万人迷”（陈好 饰）为了帮朋友也卷入了这场风波。同时，神秘的年轻美女“天真妹”（薛佳凝 饰）也加入到了她们的圈子。四个女孩在这场债务纠纷中不得安宁。
此时，地产经理“恭喜”乘机英雄救美，将一套卖不出去的别墅借给四人去那避风头。于是，四个女孩就在那里安了家，并由此开始上演了一幕幕关于友情、爱情和事业的生活剧。

该剧以乔峰、段誉和虚竹三人的传奇经历为主线，交织以三人与阿朱、王语嫣、梦姑三段感人至深的缠绵恋情，从而铺陈开一幅气势磅礴的江湖画卷。
