The second album from the Grand Rapids, Michigan natives DeBarge featured three singles, the first of which ("Stop Don't Tease Me") showcases El on lead; the song peaked at Number 46 after a short eight weeks. The follow-up was "I Like It," a very danceable yet laid-back number in which Randy carries the initial verse, and El brings up the rear. With impeccable penmanship and arrangement, it clocked in at Number Two on the RB charts, and became the group's first pop Top 40 entry. The follow-up single was the title track, "All This Love." Solely led by El's convincing tenor, this composition, in its traditional arrangement, sails along like the winds of a cool summer night. The longevity of this number can be heard in every note, including a melodious acoustic guitar solo. The remaining songs fall closely behind the aforementioned numbers

Titles was released in November 1982, shortly after Karn's band Japan had announced their intention to split up. Karn recorded the album in London during July and August 1982, and Japan drummer Steve Jansen and keyboard player Richard Barbieri both worked as session musicians on the album.
The track "Sensitive" is a reworking of the Roberto Carlos song "La Distancia" (both Carlos and Karn are credited as writers). It was originally produced by Karn with Ricky Wilde and released as a single in June 1982, though failed to chart. A new version of the track was recorded for the album, and it was re-released as a single in January 1983 when it peaked at #98.

Word of Mouth is the second and final solo studio album by American bassist Jaco Pastorius, released in 1981, while he was still a member of the jazz fusion group Weather Report, and also the name of a big band that Pastorius assembled and with which he toured in 1982.

Cores, Nomes (transl. Colors, Names) is a 1982 album by Brazilian musician Caetano Veloso. It resembles his 1981 album Outras Palavras.
