Originally released as 2 separate EPs, these sought after tracks are now compiled on one low-priced reissue. All previously issued only on wax, this is the sound of APHEX TWINS's most famous alter-ego, delivering classic rave, schizo jungle and experimentronica galore.

This soundtrack collection covers all versions of Treasure Galaxy! (1994, 1995). Despite the policy of having no credits listed for a majority of The Learning Company's games, Alan Nu and Bret Menze were the company's two in-house sound designers at this time. In general, Alan Nu focused on the music while Bret Menze did sound design and sound effects, although occassionally another employee may have done a track or two. Due to the lack of surviving credits and the passage of time, Alan Nu no longer remembers how the tracks from Treasure Galaxy! were divided between Bret and himself.



The Roland SC-55 is the original version of this game's soundtrack, being first heard in the Macintosh edition. The 1994 PC version used regular OPL, but, beginning in 1995, the PC version was updated to use MIDI.



NOTE: Unfortunately, it looks like "Reward 3" replaced "Reward 2", causing this jingle to be "missing in action" to this day.



This soundtrack has been recorded directly from an authentic Sound Blaster 16 OPL3 CT2230 Rev. 049432, and a real Roland Sound Canvas SC-55 v1.20, while playing the game (1994 edition, OPL) or from the original game files (1995 - OPL3 and SC-55).



Due to the hardware limitations of the SC-55 causing polyphony problems, if necessary, each channel has been recorded independently and then merged into a single track. Therefore, no notation data is lost through polyphony limitations and the tracks may be heard at their fullest.



Track titles are based on the original filenames, except where the original filenames remain unknown. In these cases, the track names in {brackets} have been created by myself based on how the music is used in the final version of the game, and should not be considered official at this time.



The archival soundtrack series contains all known music from said title, including 1 second jingles, unused music, beta versions, and more.



Soundtrack and any bonus materials may not be re-distributed elsewhere without the express permission of Xeen Music.



Proceeds of each sale (after platform fees) is divided between Xeen Music and Alan Nu.

Remastered re-release of an early, limited Boards Of Canada release, this nine track mini album is available on CD for the first time, seven years after its original vinyl only release. Track nine '1986 Summer Fire' is unlisted on artwork. Includes Boards Of Canada sticker. Digipak. Warp. 2002.

2003 reissue of 1995 album includes the bonus track 'Into The Frost Of Winter'. The band's blending of both acoustic and electric guitar with the dual personality of Akerfeldt's vocal outpouring made Orchid immediately a genre-setting release. 8 tracks. Guitar World call them 'Metal's most brilliant band'. Candlelight.

This seems to be a limited not in regular CD shops release for the Universiade 1995, Fukuoka (a sporting event). It did not go on sale in retail stores. Soundtrack-like it opens with clockwork sequencing with analog drums. Later some trad. Japanese music on synths and some impressionistic tracks. Miharu Koshi contributes a melody. I think HH's company Medium, had extra copies which found their way into a couple shops after the event was over. Out of print.
