An Awesome Wave is the debut studio album by English indie rock band alt-J, released on 25 May 2012 by Infectious Records. The album includes the singles "Matilda"/"Fitzpleasure", "Breezeblocks" and "Tessellate". It peaked at number thirteen on the UK Albums Chart, and also charted in Belgium, France, Netherlands and Switzerland. An Awesome Wave won the 2012 British Barclaycard Mercury Prize, and in 2013 was named Album of the Year at the Ivor Novello Awards.

Advaitic Songs is the fifth studio album by American rock band Om, released on July 24, 2012. The album has received a generally favorable response from both fans and critics, though its reception was more mixed than past works. The album has a 67 on Metacritic, indicating "generally favorable reviews". As with Pilgrimage and God Is Good, Advaitic Songs' album cover again visits Iconography from Christianity. The cover of the album features an image of John the Baptist.

This time last week, Animal Collective surprised us with the release of a new single. Now, the band returns with details of their new album, the follow up to 2009′s Top Star-earning Merriweather Post Pavilion. As a video on the band’s website notes, Centipede Hz will be released in September via Domino Records. Update: The official release date is September 4th.
The video also includes a number of apparent song titles, including “Moonjock”, “Today’s Supernatural”, “Rosie Oh”, “Applesauce”, “Wide Eyed”, “Father Time”, “New Town Burnout”, “Monkey Riches”, “Mercury Man”, “Pulleys”, and “Amanita”. Update: Domino has confirmed this as the tracklist.

Le voyage dans la lune (English: A Trip to the Moon) is the sixth studio album by French electronic music duo Air, released on 6 February 2012 by Virgin Records.

The album is inspired by the 1902 silent science fiction film A Trip to the Moon (Le voyage dans la lune) by Georges Méliès and is intended to be a soundtrack to the restored version of the film. A free three-minute film excerpt featuring the song "Sonic Armada" was made available for one week in early December 2011 in conjunction with a pre-order offer. A limited edition of the album (70,000 copies worldwide) includes the CD and a DVD of the film. The digital version of the album, along with the newly restored and colourised 16-minute film, was released as a strictly limited edition.
