在牧野间长大的本须和秀树（杉田智和 配音）因不甘心投报东京的大学失败，毅然决定来东京上补习学校。在东京街头，秀树发现街上随处可见人形电脑，在这个时代无比流行。他们有着和人别无二致的漂亮模样，连皮肤的触觉都很柔软。
穷学生秀树也很希望拥有一台但碍于其高昂的价格，只能远观。夜晚在回公寓的路上，秀树在垃圾堆里发现了少女模样的人形电脑。秀树将其扛回家，启动开关的同时也至此改变了自己的人生。苏醒的人形电脑由于只会发出“叽”的声音，因此被命名为小叽（田中理惠 配音）。在秀树的教导下，小叽如同婴儿般渐渐成长，也让秀树发现了小叽与其它人形电脑的不同。有着自己意识，而非电脑程序操控的叽渐渐对秀树心生好感，但电脑与人，机器与肉体，复杂的情况让二人踯躅不前。除了秀树和小叽，还有其它人与人形电脑的故事，或悲伤或感动，在高科技的时代依然上演着最本真的温情故事。

真新镇的少年年满10岁之后，就可以得到训练神奇宝贝的资格。10岁的少年小智（松本梨香 配音）以成为最厉害的神奇宝贝训练大师为目标，即将踏上了修行之旅。小智因为早上赖床迟到，险些失去挑选神奇宝贝的资格，无奈下他领走了一只被挑剩下的神奇宝贝——皮卡丘（大谷育江 配音）。皮卡丘又名电气鼠，虽然长相可爱，但性格含羞内向却又不亲近人类，稍有不满就乱放电电人，暴躁的脾气让小智吃尽了苦头。大木博士把神奇宝贝图和宝贝球作为践行礼物送给了小智。在小智和皮卡丘的前方，神奇宝贝的世界有许多谜题和探险在等着他们，迎接他们的到底是光明还是黑暗，小智能否如愿成为神奇宝贝大师呢？

When a college dropout stops for a late night bite at a mysterious ramen stand, he crosses paths with a self-proclaimed deity of matrimony. This bizarre meeting sends the young man hurtling through a horrifying flashback to his not-so-glorious college days when the influence of a cruel new friend turned him from a hopeless romantic into a mischievous “black cupid.”

Tomoya Okazaki is a third year high school student resentful of his life. His mother passed away from a car accident when he was younger, causing his father to resort to alcohol and cigarettes. This results in fights between the two until Tomoya's shoulder is injured in a fight. Since then, Tomoya has had distant relationships with his father, causing him to become a delinquent over time. While on a walk to school, he meets a strange girl named Nagisa Furukawa who is a year older, but is repeating due to illness. Due to this, she is often alone as most of her friends have moved on. The two begin hanging out and slowly, as time goes by, Tomoya finds his life shifting in a new direction.
