《捷克的四季》是木偶动画史上的先驱伊里·特恩卡的第一部木偶动画长片。影片的六个段落分别讲述了发生在四季当中的故事，展示着捷克乡村中传承了数个世纪的民俗服装和风情。全片没有对白，但依靠可爱而细致的木偶、美丽的场景与服装，以及童声合唱团演绎的捷克民歌，影片的内涵与情绪同样直抵观众内心。

Wallace rents out Gromit's former bedroom to a penguin, who takes up an interest in the techno pants created by Wallace. However, Gromit later learns that the penguin is a wanted criminal. Preserved by the Academy Film Archive.

Wallace's whirlwind romance with the proprietor of the local wool shop puts his head in a spin, and Gromit is framed for sheep-rustling in a fiendish criminal plot.

Wallace and Gromit open a bakery, accidentally getting tied up with a murder mystery in the process. But when Wallace falls in love, Gromit is left to solve the case by himself.

昭和6年（1931年）。鳥取県の・境町で暮らす村木茂は小学校3年生。住み込みのお手伝いであるのんのんばあの語る妖怪やお化けの世界に魅せられている。学校では居眠りをしたり、空想の世界にひたったりして先生や母から怒られてばかりだが、毎日楽しく遊び回っていた。
ある日、茂は肺病のため東京から境港に療養に来ていた千草という少女に出会う。不治の病を嘆き拗ねていた千草だったが、茂やのんのんばあの語る不思議な世界に引き込まれ、いつしか茂と千草は仲良くなっていた。
夏休みに入ったある日、茂は兄・弟と一緒に米子の街にドーナツを食べに行く。茂は、千草に食べさせてやろうかと一瞬迷ったが、結局自分がドーナツを食べてしまう。あとになって千草はドーナツが好きだったと知り、後悔の思いから彼女にドーナツを買ってきた茂だったが、千草は病が進行して危篤に陥っていた。茂は、千草を励ますために彼女と約束していた十万億土の絵を必死になって描き上げるが、時すでに遅く、千草は茂への感謝の言葉を口にしながら息を引き取っていた。
千草の早すぎる死を悲しむ茂を、のんのんばあは「しげーさん（茂さん）の心には千草さんの魂が入ったのだよ。たくさんの人の魂が心に宿るから人は優しくなれるのだよ」と励ますのだった。
