@Das_Gespenst My second gf was Vietnamese, so I did my research 😂 In a lot of ways Greece and Rome were for Europe what China was for Asia. It is a shame that there's a lot of hatred between East Asians now, but I suppose this has a lot to do with ideologies and the Cold War. Most European countries were capitalist and the remaining few were unwillingly conquered by the USSR, so the West always viewed them almost as hostages that need rescuing. Although even today some of those countries don't get accepted into the Union, but at least there doesn't seem to be any animosity between them. Except for Russia, because Russia has always been an aggressor.
