@Das_Gespenst The fact that you got into one of the top universities is very impressive, especially knowing how brutal Chinese education system is (from what I've heard). From getting there and then traveling to America, at least you got valuable experience. My story is much stupider because I went into the local university where I lived in Russia. Then I quit it, but later went to the same university but to study a different discipline. Then I quit that too. But see, I was interested in that story the most because I'm interested in failure. The most admirable quality in a human being to me is how they handle failure. A person who was succeeding their whole life will never understand what it's like to fail. Successful people are blind to an entire angle of reality.
