The material of this album was recorded in 1977 at Loring Park Office of Prince's 1st manager Owen Husney & comprises 8 funky jazz instrumentals. The session featured Andre Cymone on bass & Bobby Z on drums, with Prince on keyboards & guitar. The first release from our catalogue re-imagining project, 'Funk Machine' showcases Prince in a rare studion situation working through his songs & playing them straight after each other with a small band line-up.
