94 years after the defeat of emperor Palpatine, the galaxy is once again in deep conflict. The new republic and the Skenvi empire both compete over the small planet Coreign that provides a special ore.

Newly single mother Leia struggles to keep her child safe from Lord Blade, the newest bad guy in town. Ben Kenobi's secret son, Ben Jr., is locked in heated combat with a malicious farmer. Gibby and Luke have both taken extended vacations, and in their absence, Lando Calrissian begins training a new apprentice called The Great Unknown. The galaxy is in shambles.

It is a dark time. The Jedi are no more, and the Empire rules the galaxy with an iron fist -- bringing tyranny to the Outer Rim world of Lothal. Their ominous presence is a cloud over the planet, squashing any hope of freedom or a better life, especially for 14-year-old orphan Ezra Bridger. But the young con artist soon finds that destiny has other plans for him, as he encounters a small band of rebels who dare to strike back against the Empire.
