In their first case, the new Saarbrücken police commissioners Schürk and Hölzer deal with the murder of the potential new managing director of a family company. The family appears completely hostile and the victim's father has also died under mysterious circumstances. The background to the events seems to go back to the Second World War, when the company employed forced labor.

Denn nach dem Spiel wird aus der Notaufnahme ein Todesfall gemeldet. Andreas Schneider brach mit Schädelfrakturen und einer Stichwunde in der Notaufnahme zusammen und konnte nicht mehr gerettet werden.
Schnell stellt sich heraus, dass er die „Dritte Halbzeit“ bei einem Ackermatch verbracht hat. Aber ob er dort auch die tödlichen Verletzungen erlitten hat, bleibt vorerst unklar. Denn so sehr die Hooligangruppen verfeindet sind, genauso sehr sind sie sich einig, dass der größte und gemeinsame Feind die Polizei ist. Daher konfrontieren sie das Saarbrücker Team mit Schweigen und klären ihre Kämpfe unter sich.
Auch Adam verschweigt gewisse Wahrheiten. Als er jedoch bei sich zu Hause überfallen wird, weil jemand auf der Suche nach den Millionen aus dem Bankraub seines Vaters ist, muss er Leo einweihen. Doch wer hier wem trauen kann und am Ende auf wessen Seite steht, bleibt undurchdringlich.

German corporate lawyer Max takes on a job in an Amsterdam real estate firm rather than joining his father's construction company. He's relatively happy, yet doesn't quite fit in with his narrow-minded way of thinking -however hard he tries to relax- in the libertine city. Then he falls in love with Dutch snack-bar owner Sophie, who claims to not be interested in him. Unexpectedly Max's parents invite themselves to come 'celebrate' his birthday with a stuffy dinner in a near-by German restaurant and invade his small apartment. In der besten Gegend von Saarbrücken finden sie in einer Villa den Leichnam von Cora Reuters (44) vor. Zudem einen blutverschmierten Baseballschläger, eine leere Dose Pfefferspray, einen geöffneten Safe mit bündelweise Bargeld darin – und einen mutmaßlichen Täter, der schwer verletzt ins Krankenhaus gebracht wird. Erste Ermittlungen ergeben: Bei Cora Reuters wurde vor einigen Monaten eingebrochen und dabei heimlich eine Überwachungskamera installiert.
Unterdessen wird Adam von seinem Vater per SMS in sein Elternhaus gerufen: "Es geht um deine Mutter!"
