The adventure film for family audiences follows Reodor Felgen, a brilliant but eccentric inventor, and his two unlikely friends—Solan, a daring magpie, and Ludvig, a timid hedgehog—as they attempt to redeem themselves by competing in the Paris-to-the-Pyramids rally. Equipped with their racecar, Il Tempo Gigante, the trio embark on a high-stakes journey through bustling Paris, across the perilous Italian Alps, and into the scorching Egyptian desert. The film is inspired by the work of Norwegian author Kjell Aukrust, and the iconic Il Tempo Gigante, one of the most beloved cars in Norway’s automotive culture.

A gnome named Gurin wakes up with a foxtail as punishment for his practical jokes.

A secret bet between Solan and Olvar O. Kleppvold, he loses the house and workshop of the genious inventor Reodor Felgen, and they both bring their allies in the fight to win.

100 miles north, a bit east and up, is Pinchcliffe, the home of bicycle repairman Reodor Felgen and his two assistants, Solan Gundersen and Ludvig. Sponsored by oil sheik Ben Redic Fy Fazan, they build the car "Il Tempo Gigante" to race against Reodor's former assistant Rudolf Blodstrupmoen, who has stolen one of Reodor's inventions to become a world racing champion.
