若さと希望に満ちた朝日野町の商店街にあるシャレたお好み焼屋「まんぼう」。看板娘の八重子（通称やっこ）は江戸っ子気質の父親と2人暮らしで昼は店を手伝い夜は高校へ通う孝行娘。
その隣町のアパートには、メッシュ髪をした大学生の剛と青いパーマ頭をした5才の橋蔵兄弟と、フテブテしく太った猫のジュリアーノが住んでいた。
或る日、橋蔵とジュリアーノは、剛から行っては行けないと注意されていた朝日野町へ出掛けてしまい、迷子になって挙げ句雨にまで降られてしまった。
その頃、八重子は店の客の髪を紫に染めた里美という大学生と親しく話しをした為、父から「車と男には気をつけろ！！」と怒鳴られ材料の仕入れで買い物に出された。
そして、工事現場の土管の中に雨宿りをしていた橋蔵とジュリアーノに出逢い、八重子のやさしい救いの手に橋蔵はすっかり八重子を好きになってしまった。色染め髪の剛と里美は同じ大学の親友で、アルバイトの為にロックバンドを結成していた仲だが。
橋蔵とジュリアーノを店へ連れて帰った八重子から、彼等の身上話を聞いた父親は大感激して大サービス、すっかり仲良くなってしまった。雨上がりの夕方、橋蔵とジュリアーノをアパートへ送った八重子は学校へ遅刻しそうに成り大急ぎで走る。
と、町角で剛と衝突！起こる八重子に「君のような可愛い娘は走らない方がいいよ」と頭をなでたから大変「バカにしないで！」バチンと一発平手打ち。八重子は剛を橋蔵の兄とは知らなかった。
橋蔵とジュリアーノを中心に、八重子と剛の乙女チックなラブロマンスが、明るい笑いの中で描かれていきます。

原作では関西が舞台であったがアニメ版は東京に舞台を変えての設定。ビーハイブのヴォーカルの剛を佐々木功が演じたが、劇中の歌う場面ではアイ高野の挿入歌が使われた。

Manami is your typical schoolgirl, despite the odd machines her grandfather is always building. One day, though, an odd evil robot comes to attack Minami's school, and commits the ultimate offense of threatening her friends... and ruining her lunch. A story of two mates, Pitcher and catcher on a pro-baseball team, devoted to their game, bikes, girls and having a good time. When they meet a girl who is still mourning the death of her boyfriend in a bike accident, they try to help—though her beauty means their motives may not be entirely altruistic!

The movie starts out with Katsuhiko going to the US, with Kasumi and Yusaku seeing him off at Narita. Two years later, Katsuhiko is a professional racer, and comes back to Japan to race (and to marry Kasumi). Yusaku`s hobby is photography.

Riki returns to Iason Mink to live as his "pet," but Riki's friend Guy tries to take him back.

Blondies aren't supposed to keep pets for long or interact sexually with pets, but one blondie named Iason Mink has kept a pet named Riki for years and is rumored to sleep with him. Iason refuses to let go of Riki, even with Jupiter's disapproval. Iason is obsessed with keeping Riki, and Riki doesn't know what to do; fight against him or surrender to him, nor what to do about his old friend/lover Guy and their gang.

In an ill-fated attempt to harness the forces of nature, Dr. Frankenstein creates a monster. This gentle giant roams the countryside in search of a peaceful life, but is finally overcome with loneliness and despair as his fearsome visage strikes terror in the minds of young and old alike.

Hello! Sandybell is an anime series made by Toei Animation in 1981. It was aired in Japan by TV Asahi.

In the original title when it is made in Japan, her name is the spelling to which "E" is attached to an end by "Sandybelle".

Similarly to Silver Fang, the show is relatively unknown in the U.S. but was quite popular in Asia, Latin America, Arab countries and Europe, particularly Scandinavia.
