Among the elderly who attend the day care facility "Ijinzaka Clinic," a groundbreaking treatment devised by the director, Tadashi Urushihara, was secretly spreading. This medical procedure, which aims for cost-effective care, deals with "disused limbs" (limbs that are unlikely to recover due to paralysis, etc.), and unexpected "positive side effects" have appeared, such as "my body and mind feel lighter" and "my harsh personality has softened." Editor Shuntaro Yagura, who hears the rumors, senses the potential to revolutionize geriatric medicine and approaches Tadashi about publishing a book. However, everything takes a dark turn when an internal whistleblower report about the day care facility is leaked to a weekly magazine, and then a shocking incident occurs at a patient's home.

Shiori, Yukiko, Kyoko and Sachiko continue to live each day with untold feelings inside. Unable to forget a colleague on a trip, a father who is ill, a friend who works at a store that is about to close, and a long-lost husband, each woman takes a step forward. There is a light that sometimes embraces them, calmly and gently. This work is the second feature directed by Kyoshi Sugita, following A Song I Remember.
