A British documentary series for ITV. Each hour long program sees well-known celebrities travel to various parts of the world to explore more about a person who has inspired them.

In this episode(S3:ep7), Hugh Laurie(House MD) embarked on his very own pilgrimage of blues starting from New Orleans, Chicago, New York and all the way to Long Island, where he saluted his life-long musical hero Professor Longhair by giving a concert at the Queen Mary.

Is this where Hugh Laurie, pre-House, acquired the taste for playing medics? Laurie co-stars with Imelda Staunton in this well-made training film for the National Blood Service. Both play multiple parts in a comedy-of-errors ensuring staff get the deadly serious message while feeling entertained rather than merely instructed. Director Paul Katis is one of the fine filmmaking talents, too often unsung, whose skills have enriched Britain's corporate film sector (itself much undervalued). In 2014, Katis made the transition into feature film, directing the gripping, highly regarded war film Kajaki: The True Story. Acclaiming it as an impressive debut, not many reviewers realised it had benefited from Katis' long experience making excellent training films, many for the armed forces or on health and safety topics.

A comedy spectacular in aid of Aids Care and Research featuring various comedians such as Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Rowan Atkinson, Clive Anderson, Robbie Coltrane, John Cleese, Ade Edmondson, Harry Enfield, French and Saunders etc etc etc

A funny remake of "The Prisoner" - with a 1980's twist to it 'The Laughing Prisoner' is a remake (or homage) of (to) the Kafkaesque 1960's television show 'The Prisoner' with Patrick McGoohan in the lead role. This time it is a successful television presenter (Jools Holland) who decides to quit at the height of his stardom. He is abducted from his apartment and brought to the village, where number 2 (a young Stephen Fry) is questioning him. The whole show has a cosy 1980's feel to it, with several bands from that period performing their music.

In this compelling story of a daring conman, Leo Hopkins (Hugh Laurie) prospers from the greed of others - but his undeniable charm and willingness to take risks plunge him into a mess of troubles and worry. Addicted to gambling, seduced by his secretary and threatened by his corrupt boss, his life spirals downward and Leo must find a way to straighten himself out before he loses everything.
