Tomás Barrera (Pablo Macaya) vive junto a su mujer, Helena (Tamara Garea) en Barcelona, desde hace 3 años. Trabaja en una editorial de auto-ayuda y se apresta a lanzar el libro de su cliente y amigo Enric, titulado 199 Recetas para Ser Feliz. Helena se encuentra deprimida ya que su hermano, Milo, murió en un viaje que realizó junto a su novia, Sandra (Andrea García-Huidobro), a una laguna al sur de Chile.
Al recibir una postal que Milo envió antes de morir, diciendo que tenía los pasajes comprados para visitarlos junto a su novia, Helena se entristece más. Esto cambia radicalmente cuando, un par de meses después, Sandra aparece en la puerta del departamento.
