El niño indígena José llega a vivir a la capital con su hermana Remedios, sirvienta de la vedette Marta. Hostilizado por el pillo representante de la vedette José cae en el escenario donde ella actúa y triunfa cantando. Luego Remedios gana un concurso de rock. El repartidor de pan Bernardino, padre de José, ofrece 50 mil pesos al empresario Paco y a Marta para financiar una obra, pues dice tener un tesoro. El representante explotador de Marta lo rapta y lo tortura como a Cuauhtémoc, pero el niño lo rescata con una resortera y con ayuda de todos hace encarcelar al villano. Paco y Marta, y Remedios y Trompito, ayudante de su padre, se casarán.

In his first film El Santo was still referred to as ‘El Enmascarado’. Rendered compliant by a scientist and his gangsters via a serum and mysterious rays, he is forced for the opening act to be a henchman for the evil forces who want to take over the world. The film has great historic value, due also to its impressive exterior shots of pre-revolutionary Cuba 1959.
